Get up close with thousands of boisterous snow geese. During this workshop we will focus on observing the birds behavior, anticipating where they will move, and ultimately photographing them. If you haven't seen this wildlife spectacle before, you are in for a treat.
Each year snow geese migrate along the Atlantic Flyway on their way to the Canadian Arctic. Peak times vary by season, however in 2018 the population peaked at nearly 200,000 snow geese—the region's highest ever. As timing the peak is quite difficult, the numbers are more likely to be in the double digits, which is still VERY impressive.
Along the way we will also have the opportunity to photograph tundra swans, Canadian geese, various species of duck, and potentially a fox or two. Bald eagles are quite common here as well.
Can't make it for the whole week? No worries, join us for a couple of days or the whole week.
